Friends and colleagues suggest that going to networking meetings is a good way of getting new business but you are a tad sceptical and being a bit on the shy side the thought of lots of new faces worries you and you reckon that it will end up being you who is sold to.

Formal networking meetings can be daunting and are most certainly not for everybody but networking is not just about going to meetings. Every day in your business you are going to meet and work with new people and that’s the key. New people could become new customers and there is only you and them in the room and you are already talking about business in one way or another so try to get them to buy more from you or just ask them if they know anybody who would be interested in what you have to offer.
